The Yeghegnadzor Canned Goods Factory was founded in 1965 during the Soviet Union time. In 2015, the factory was fully renovated and equipped with new technologies, creating an industrial procces up to European standards. In expanding the production volume, the factory was able to provide the population of the Vayots Dzor region of Armenia with over 200 new jobs.
Due to the unique geographic location of the Vayots Dzor region, the fruits grown in the region remain distinct for their original flavor and fragance. Taking advantage of the prosperous and rich Armenian soil, 90 percent of raw materials used by the factory come from within the Vayots Dzor region. The factory already provides 60 types of products including fruit drinks, jams, and canned vegetables, all of which are notable for their original tastes and high quality. In the future, additional categories of products will be added to the already existing selection.
After its refurbishment and renovation in 2015, the Yeghegnadzor Factory was awarded a gold medal for its excellent product quality by the Ministry of Agriculture of Armenia.
The activities of the Yeghegnadzor Canned Goods Factory are not only limited to the
local market, but also aim at markets in the countries included in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), especially the Russian Federation.
